  1. Hi, I don't know if this is in the right forum, sorry if not, but I just had some questions about weight. 1) will putting on weight make you taller? I have always always been underweight (BMI from 12 to 15 max) and always been tiny in height. My family have no history of tiny-ness, they are all average height! I was just wondering whether, if I put on weight, I would be able to grow those inches to make me not tiny! 2) I'm scared that putting on weight will make my dancing bad... What if I get flabby and chubby? What if I eat more and more and don't stop? All my hard work on developing the right muscles will go down the drain! 3) if I do put on weight, what is a healthy way to go about it? I am active and want to be as healthy as possible. My mum says that I should introduce 'unhealthy' foods more often into my diet... I've started to have a square or so of 85-90% dark chocolate a day. But I don't know whether this is a good idea! All I know is that I want to be a ballet dancer, and to grow taller but stay slender and lean! Im so sorry if this bothers anybody, I'm just getting a bit nervous! I like my life at the moment! (PS I am not ill mentally or physically)
  2. I am a little worried my DD has large thighs and possibly put weight on since starting vocational. It's really hard to know what is acceptable and not? She always used to have slim legs (not skinny) but this past year they've got bigger along with her bottom! Her waistline is also bigger I'm sure. I'm not saying she has started to look anywhere near overweight (she's still slim) but I worry because I am not keeping an eye on what foods she eats, she's started making more unhealthy choices. She hasn't grown in height for almost a year now though
  3. DD has put on 2 stones since she started her pre-vocational course in September I think this is a relief because a) she is eating (& cooking for herself), it is a transfer from fat to muscle At least I am assuming it is a transfer from fat to muscle as she is wearing the same size clothing and hasn't put on any inches But I was worried that she would loose a lot of weight & initially she lost inches but stayed the same weight I was very surprised & DD is chuffed as she is now heavy enough to give blood
