  1. Hi, this is my first post on here so I hope I'm in the right place. I took my ISTD Intermediate Tap exam on the 13th of December, and was just wondering if anyone knew what the average waiting time for results are, especially because it's been Christmas/New Years? I did my RAD Grade 6 ballet in November and results came back in 3 weeks, so thought ISTD may be similar? If anyone knows how long it could be, please let me know! Thank you!

  3. Hi I have a place to study musical theatre btec at a performing arts college for September. What tap shoes and character heels would you suggest I buy? I haven't tapped before so want something suitable for my level but will also last as I (hopefully) improve. Thankyou in advance
  4. Hi guys, Hope this is ok to start but I could do with a boys thread to refer to. DS is 11, and has been dancing for nearly two years, his fave is ballet but also does tap and jazz. I’m getting a bit cheesed off at not being able to find anything for him. Bought new tap shoes today and ended up in ladies yet again!! (He’s a 4). I try to get things made when I can find and afford them. His ballet bag came from the USA and I’m so tired of googling “freed Aaron” like it’s the only leotard he’ll ever find. Can anyone point us in a direction of nice boys stuff? Good workshops, associate schemes?? He is in a nice school but still the only boy in his class and wonder if he’s missing out. We live in the NW of the UK, but will travel for the right opportunities. Thank youuuuuu! xx
  5. Does anyone have the ISTD Tap Grade 4 or Grade 5 DVD for sale?

  7. Wanted... Jazz and Tap Shoes in 3/3.5 for DS. Like something a bit softer than PU for the tap shoes, maybe leather or split sole? Split sole leather black jazz shoes. Thank youuuuuu! ????
  8. So not ballet related but I know that some of you have DC that are tappers. DD did really well with her tap solo recently and has been asked to preform at a local event tomorrow. We went there for a rehearsal this evening only to discover that the stage is carpeted. The floor of the hall will be fine however it is quite slippy. She was very good at the rehearsal and when we got home said nothing but has just come to me in tears (1.30am!!!) to say she is worried. I can't recall the floor exactly but she said it is wooden with a varnish - any ideas what we can do?
  9. Looking for good condition size 3/3.5 boys tap shoes. Any lace up tap show would probably be suitable. Thank you!!
  10. I am finding these impossible to get hold of. Anybody got one knocking about they no longer need? Many thanks
  11. Hi there I'm 18 yrs old and currently training to become a dance teacher with the IDTA. I'm currently learning IDTA intermediate ballet and once I've done my exam will be doing the pre-associate and associate for it. I've heard you can become an RAD teacher once I'm IDTA qualified, I don't know if this is true? I hope so! Anyway I just have a few questions to see what people think - I've done RAD ballet my whole life ever since I was 5, but I've never done tap and modern exams I've done performances in tap, modern, street etc but not exams. I know its a silly question but one day I'm going to have to make the decision, what sounds better: An RAD dance school with just ballet exams and tap and modern non-syllabus OR shall I do all the IDTA theatre associates so theres exams in IDTA ballet, tap and modern? I don't feel very confident teaching tap and modern syllabus work because I've obviously never done the exams. Which one would you rather take your child to or sounds better? Thank you
