  1. Dd would have liked to apply but sadly too tall 😢
  2. What about encouraging them to choreograph themselves, maybe let them choose the music. Dd had a choreographer come in to teach at voc school, each student had to demonstrate a movement they enjoyed. Dd loved having her steps included in the piece, it made her feel very connected so maybe involving them in the process might help, or perhaps you could look for a performance opportunity, maybe the group would rise to the occasion. Good luck
  3. I can 100% recommend the teacher of BB Hull, fabulous teacher 👍
  4. We found this summer school through this forum and were so please we gave it a try. Dd loved attending and we saw such an improvement in technique and confidence, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
  5. Have you tried asking on the fb dancewear selling sites? There are loads of selling groups, I have added a pic of one. Good luck 🤞
  6. Dd wears GM and is in grad year at Tring (she also wore them at audition with no comment), she was also RB senior associate and wore them to class. Good luck to your DD 👍
  7. We found the calculator above to be accurate, we also received a small bursary from the school so actually paid a little less.
  8. You could try The International Ballet School, if they can’t accommodate I’m sure will point you in the right direct. https://www.internationalballet.se/ Gina is ex Principal dancer of Royal Swedish Ballet and such a lovely person. Hope you have the best time.
  9. Can’t recommend this summer school enough! DD has done a number of prestigious intensives over the years but this one was a cut above, she received excellent training, and we were thrilled to be able to watch a wonderful show at the end. Dd stayed with a lovely host family who we are still in touch with now.
  10. There is currently at least one 6th form girl with a mds at Tring
  11. Not everyone gets funding audition for Tring, I believe they send out no’s, yes without boarding, and yes with funding audition. Everyone who is successful for funding will automatically get a boarding place then once the funding is allocated they offer remaining beds. DD’s year had a couple of kids who were initially in a Homestay in the village, at some point boarding places became available and they then moved into boarding. Good luck to everyone about start their upper school journey x
  12. I thinks it’s a combination of injury/general insecurity & pandemic panic, will pass this on to her mum. Just wanted to reassure her that some dancers have a bust. Thanks for your help 👍
  13. She’s 17 so already gone through puberty. Will check out Polina Semionova, I don’t really know much about dance so really appreciate the information.
  14. Also, just the actual breast tissue that is worrying her as her overall width is small.
  15. Hi Alison, thanks for responding. The dancer is roughy size 8-10 uk dress sizes, I’m not sure on exact bra size, larger bust than the average dancer, but absolute perfection to the rest of the world.
