  3. You don't have to be 18 to get student finance for a degree course , my daughter was 16 and she got it.

I lived in the USA for several years having both my children out there, one with insurance and one without, without being my first child and they can be ruthless, my husband had to leave me in labour to go get cash out of bank before they would give me an epidural . Now living permanently back in the UK I would never criticise the NHS , we are very lucky !

  8. Yes we also had student finance and loans at age 16 , lived with other students not homestay whilst studying at Rambert, school very supportive would check on students if unwell even took to chemists/doctors, depends on maturity of student of course.

Pointless , I totally agree with those statements. that you made, we were caught up in that way of thinking we had a great local ballet school which my DD went to, but felt to excel she needed to get in an associate scheme, her teacher did agree to it but did warn us ' it's just another ballet class you know' although she agreed to itcbecause it was RAD. We travelled quite a distance ,cost more money for trains etc whether it was worth it I don't know , she ended up going to vocational school .
